When I hear that people rely on their 9 to 5 job or their small business as their sole income, it makes me sad. I mean, why wouldn’t you want a side income that pays you every month?
After all, it’s up to ensure that you always have money in the bank. Plus, you can’t rely on anyone else because they probably won’t care as much as you do about your finances.
One thing I tell my niece and nephew is this: it pays to have a side income.

Why a Side Income is Important
Like most people, I wasn’t born into a family that comes from old or new money.
Nope.
I come from blue-collar working folks who lived paycheck-to-paycheck (some still do) to make ends meet. To be fair, it wasn’t their fault because they only repeated what they learned from their parents, grandparents, and so on. After all, you won’t do better if no one shows you how to.
With that said, it shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone that I put a high priority on earning a great living. It’s why I’m always looking for ways to boost my income. After all, I pay my bills with the cash that’s in my checking account. And let’s face it. Anyone who says that money isn’t important is lying. How else do you put food on the table and clothes on your back? It takes money to do that, either yours or someone else’s.
An Idea for a Side Income
When I lived in Arizona, I learned the importance of having a side income.
In fact, multiple streams of income are better.
