Below are examples of my creative writing (as Rebecca Sebek). Since I write for businesses and professionals within the arts & entertainment industry, I wanted to showcase some of my writings.
Poetry
1. Welcome to Hell. A poem based on a ‘war’ photo on the cover of the Ohio Writer Newsletter. Published as Rebecca Sebek in the 2006 issue of Ohio Writer Newsletter.
Short Stories
1. ”The Phantom Kitten of Richmond” is a middle grade short story about brother and sister Avery and Oriana (Ana for short) who move to Richmond, VA from New York and discover a phantom kitten in a field not far from their home. Avery starts a club to solve the mystery of The Phantom Kitten of Richmond. Ana helps too.
2. ”Indigo Rider_YA Short Story“ is a YA short story about a rebellious teenage girl who finds a friend in a spirited horse who shows her it’s all right to be who she is.
3. ”The Christmas Mouse” is a middle grade short story about a mouse and cat that learn to like each other on Christmas.
Screenplays
1. ”Awakened” is a short film, February 2010. After her father dies, a woman realizes her life is her own and she’s freed from his powerful control.
2. ”Freedom” is a short film, February 2010. Seven people are released from their self-imposed prisons by admitting to the offenses committed against themselves.

• Daily Family Antics. “An Aunt’s Musings of Family Relationships, Pets, Teens, and Parenting in the 21st Century.” The material’s being used as the basis to develop a half-hour TV comedy.
